Very good advice.

We live in Poland (wife is Polish) and have a nice place in southern Spain. Job brought me here to EU 8 years ago and I stayed after retiring.

But as you say we do get older. At 71 just got a pacemaker. Did it US using TRICARE and Medicare. Stayed w kids. Nothing wrong with either country but just wanted English speaking Doctors.

Now have to consider path forward. Do we just go on as is hoping pacemaker performs as advertised for next 10 years. Or do we modify our plans?

In any case 10 years from now will not be who I am now. Nor will my wife be the same. So gaming it out right now.
