My role in Poland is associated with installation of defense systems for Eastern Europe. I run one of the programs devoted to that effort. Hopefully planning to retire at the end of the year.
As for this war it is important to understand that an unintended mistake on the part of NATO and/or US will result in a nuclear exchange. That will end life as we know it on this planet.
I know it is frustrating that we have not done more but to be honest there is very little more that we can do. The Biden administration and President Biden have done a very good job managing this. Including, though no one sees it, the withdrawal from Afghanistan. That in itself allowed US to respond to the Ukraine War with maximum degree of strategic flexibility (no logistical or operational distraction to supporting Ukraine). I would say the only shortcoming is President Biden’s communication skills. He and the administration are doing right thing…he just not the best at communicating it.
