My family is from Florida. They migrated down from SC after the civil war. When I was a child we would travel down from KY to the farm in north central Florida where I spent the summers (60’s and 70’s). It was different then. Everyplace had its own charm. St. Augustine was the promise land for my sister and I. But now…it’s all gone. As my my grandfather used to say “those damn Yankees need to move back north”.
