It is sad that you lost your brother. It must have been tough.
I hope that you have included exercise in your plan. Does not have to be dramatic. Walking is a great way to start.
Also strength training helps as well. Again keep it low key at first and then build up. A good indicator of strength is standing on one foot. You should be able to do at least 30sec on each side.
Good luck in your efforts. You have the right approach and avoiding death is a great motivator. It worked for me.
