Have been through two similar incidents. One was out of San Diego in the 80s (DC-10). The other out of Raleigh Durham about 8 years ago(767). The pilots dumped the fuel in the first incident and then landed. The second was a quick spin around the pattern and landing. That one they blew all the tires because the plane was so heavy. Never fun.
