Good article and still valid. We are now into month two of this war. You as well as many of us that have served called it right in the beginning in saying the Russians were in trouble before they even started. In addition to poor training it looks like they have ignored about every basic tenants of warfare including unity of command, mission type orders, use combined arms, logistics, unit discipline etc. Most importantly they don’t know their enemy and don’t know themselves. And they ignored Sun Tzu’s advice that you never attempt to lay siege to a city.
