General Patton had the luxury of total air supremacy, unrestricted and overwhelming logistics and an adversary that was totally depleted by 6 years of war. This war is different and in a different phase. The Ukrainians have none of those advantages.
Ukrainians are playing with the hand they were dealt and playing it well. But they are vastly out manned and outgunned. They do not command the sky and their logistics, a trickle to what they really need, are still vulnerable to Russian attack The aggressive strikes you suggest are not feasible at this point of the war.
