Enjoyed this. And some good advice as well. When I was in college I did my own b&b processing and printing. Yes I agree get as close as you can then tweak it as needed.

Only time I couldn’t do that was with color film. Took it down to the drugstore to get processed. So it did have to be “right” in the camera.
