A well written insightful article. Some other thoughts from the peanut gallery....I think that Mr. Putin has tethered his fate to the anchor stone of siege warfare. A bloody drawn-out affair that will sap his resources and test his ability (inability?) to control messaging, a crashing economy and defeat an army that is gaining in size and strength by the day as arms and volunteers swell the Ukrainian force.

Or as Sun Tzu says.....“The general, unable to control his irritation, will launch his men to the assault like swarming ants, with the result that one-third of his men are slain, while the town still remains untaken. Such are the disastrous effects of a siege.”
